Well, picture this: 28 glorious years filled with enough real estate shenanigans to make your head spin faster than a merry-go-round on turbo mode. Yup, it's been a wild ride – from the sublime to the downright bizarre.

Let's rewind to the beginning, shall we? It all started with a casual favor for a friend who needed a wingman to tackle a real estate course. I figured, "Hey, why not? Learning something new one night a week sounds like a hoot!" Little did I know, selling houses ain't exactly a cakewalk. But hey, ignorance is bliss, right?

So there I was, acing the class while my buddy bailed quicker than a mouse in a cat convention. Next thing I knew, I'm switching careers in my forties, tackling a written test held in the ancient ritual grounds of Concord, armed with nothing but a trusty old number 2 pencil. We're talking snail mail notifications, folks – waiting weeks on end just to find out if I made the cut. Spoiler alert: I did!

Fast forward through the early 2000s, where the real estate market was riding high, to the gut-wrenching lows post-2008 crash, and then finally hitting cruise control in the 2010s. But just when you thought it was smooth sailing, bam! COVID-19 crash-lands like a meteorite in March 2020.

Suddenly, I'm stuck at home watching the MLS like it's the world's most boring reality show – no new listings, no action, nada. It was like waiting for a sloth to finish a marathon. But fear not, fellow real estate warriors, for where there's a will, there's a way!

Two weeks in, and lo and behold, a glimmer of hope – a home actually goes under contract! Cue the collective "Hallelujah" chorus. But wait, how in the world are people even getting into houses? Time to break out the DIY coffee filter masks, the dishwashing gloves, and enough hand sanitizer to drown a herd of elephants.

As the world hunkered down, suddenly everyone wanted a piece of rural paradise, and boy, did New Hampshire fit the bill. Cash buyers were popping up like dandelions, inventory vanished quicker than a magician's rabbit, and prices shot up like they were on a SpaceX rocket.

Amidst the chaos, I'm still here, trucking along like a seasoned pro, grateful for the folks who trust me to navigate the wild seas of real estate. Oh, and did I mention I've snagged a few homes for myself along the way? This gig never fails to be a jaw-dropper at parties.
